Turn right and head south on US Hwy 31E and go approximately 1.2 miles to the old Court House. Keep right and go approximately ¼ mile until you see St. Joseph Catholic Church on your right. Directions from Lexington:
Get on the Bluegrass Parkway and head west. Take your second Bardstown exit and take a right at the top of the ramp. Go 1 mile and we will be meeting just before the bridge over the Beechfork River on the left hand side.

What to expect:
We will be putting on the river at approximately 9:00 AM. Please allow enough time to sign-in and get the canoes organized. Bring your own canoe if you want or we will have some available there for you to use. We will paddle down river picking up tires and trash along the river banks, so be ready to get a little dirty. Trash bags and gloves will be provided, but it never hurts to bring extra. We will be taking out on private property, thanks to the generosity of the Hite family for allowing us access to their land. Some refreshments will be available before and after the pickup, but feel free to bring your own. The entire run should take about 4 hours. Keep checking the Bardstown Boaters website, www.bardstownboaters.com for more information.

We appreciate your support!

The members of the Bardstown Boaters would like to thank volunteers and donors for your participation in the fifth annual Paddle Pickup to clean up a section of the Beech Fork River. The success of the event rests on your hard work and generosity. Last Saturday ended with a dumpster full of trash and expressions of pride on all the participants' faces.

The Bardstown Boaters strive to meet the goals of water conservation efforts in Nelson County in the areas of sustainability, energy conservation, and habitat conservation. Each year we conduct a river cleanup on the Beech Fork in Bardstown, KY. We hold this event in accordance with the National River Cleanup.
