THE COURSE
RUN
The race begins with 2 mile paved run geared to thin the pack of
racers before continuing on a single-track trail run. Racers
navigate the trail until its end. Fro there, racers navigate the
forest alongside Sympson Lake to reach Ben Irvin Roads and the
transition area.
PADDLE
Upon putting in, paddlers complete a circuit around the perimeter
of Sympson Lake and bank to the transition area. Special clues will
be spread throughout the entirety of the course. The clues , when
combined, result in a winning codeword or phrase.
BIKE
Racers then proceed on a 12-mile open road bike race. From Sympson
Lake, racers pedal miles on county roads, then head back toward
Bardstown and the airport to the finish line.
